We provide custom‑made thermoplastic splints designed to protect healing tissues, support injured joints, and improve functional positioning of the hand and upper limb. Each splint is individually moulded to ensure optimal comfort, stability, and effectiveness for conditions such as fractures, ligament injuries, tendon injuries, arthritis, and post‑surgical recovery. We use manual therapy techniques—including joint mobilisation, soft‑tissue release, and targeted stretching—to reduce pain, improve movement, and enhance overall upper‑limb function. Manual therapy supports faster recovery, can help to reduce pain and complements exercise‑based rehabilitation.

We provide safe and effective wound care and dressing management for minor post‑surgical or traumatic wounds of the hand and upper limb. Our focus is on promoting healthy healing, preventing infection, and supporting a smooth transition into rehabilitation.

Initial home visit consults will require 60 minutes and review consults will require 45 minutes. Please note that home visits will be restricted to Oak Park, Pascoe Vale, Strathmore and Glenroy.
We offer a range of consultations that give you enough time for your problem to be properly understood and your treatment to be delivered with care.

Payment options and rebates available
Credit/debit card
VISA, Mastercard, AMEX, Google Pay and Apple Pay accepted. Please note we are a cashless venue.
Private Health Insurance
If you have physiotherapy cover, you will be able to claim part of the consult fee back. Your level of cover will determine how big the rebate is.
Medicare Rebate
With a GP referral under a Chronic Disease Management Plan, you may receive Medicare rebates for up to five sessions. Full payment is required at your appointment, and Medicare will deposit the rebate directly into your bank account.
DVA Claiming
DVA Gold Card holders referred from their GP can access consultations and services at Orion Hand Therapy.
